The selection of a listing agent is the most important decision in the marketing of residential real estate. The second most important decision is price. The decisions regarding "which agent' and "which price" should be separate. The number one mistake sellers make is hiring the agent who told them the highest recommended asking price. Commonly, this results an improperly priced house marketed by an agent least qualified to achieve that price. Choose your agent based on performance and qualifications. While buyers choose homes based on location, location, location; sellers should hire their agents based on reputation, reputation, reputation.

For me, the goals of a successful marketing plan are threefold: get the highest price in a reasonable timeframe with the least amount of inconvenience to the seller. Frankly, all else is secondary. My goal is not to just market your property. My goal is to sell it.

To achieve these goals, you must hire the most qualified representative. Being trained by Procter & Gamble is sales and marketing, I bring world class sales and marketing experience to the western suburban real estate market. By selling and marketing the Crest toothpaste and Scope mouthwash brands, I've learned that branding is important. The family who buys your house is not buying bricks and mortar. Rather, they are buying a lifestyle. As such, the marketing message must be brought to them in a manner consistent with their perspective.

Additionally, P&G taught me that sale is something that you do for someone, not to someone.

Beyond the Procter & Gamble experience, I've learned real estate as a specialized  real estate appraiser. My specialties were relocation and litigation support.  This experience has assisted me in continually providing sound analysis and counsel to the ever-changing real estate market conditions for my seller clients.
