Because a large amount of work I do is with families who relocate in from out of state, it is common for me to be one of the only people who these inbound families know in the entire state of Illinois. To ease the transition of their lifestyles into the Chicago area, I offer my concierge level “I gotta guy” service to these clients. Essentially, as a lifelong Chicagoan and long term realtor, I know where to get the best-tasting pizza, the most caring pediatrician, a great landscaper and a painter so tidy that I think he has his drop cloths professionally laundered. As you can see on this Chicago map, the near western suburbs are a clean and easy commute straight east into the city. That means more time for work or play and less downtime traveling.
Chicago Climate and Weather
Okay, I’ll come clean. If you’re considering a move here, Chicago weather may not be our strong suit. Because of Lake Michigan (an ocean-really), it’s common for there to be signifigant weather differentials between the city and the western suburbs (even though it’s just 20 miles away). Chicago is called the Windy City for a reason. Given that it’s less windy in the western suburbs, we have fewer bad hair days here.
